Kilt Shop

A powerful symbol of Scottish heritage, the kilt has remained a significant part of Scotland since at least the 16th century. The exact point of time is unknown, but it's recognised that it wasn't until the late 18th century that pleats were introduced. Before this point, the kilt was simply folded. Kilts are normally made with 6-8 yards of fabric and we sell a range of kilts for both men and children. You can take a look at our kilt shop range by clicking here. Our 8 yard kilts have deep pleats for excellent movement and a regular 24 inch drop allowing for a great kilt swing as you move.

It can be difficult to find a kilt shop which offers quality and a low price, but here at True Scots, you will find fantastic value and as we provide kilts which can be worn more casually and don't carry with it the expense of a kilt you may wear to a wedding.
